Seasonal price drops are nothing new, but as 2019 draws to a close we could be facing drops of up to 1.3% nationally and 8.4% regionally off the back of low buyer confidence and political uncertainty surrounding Brexit.

Research undertaken by reallymoving suggests that we could expect to see this 1.3% dip occurring over the next three months, with prices in Northern Ireland expected to drop by 8.5%, Wales by 8.4% and the North West by 5.1% which may well cancel out price increases achieved over recent months.

While this doesn’t spell good news for those looking to sell their home, it could be good news for first-time buyers who may find themselves in a position to purchase a home that is better suited to their needs and at a more favourable price.

That said, house prices are still on course to end the year 4% higher than at the end of 2018 according to Rob Houghton, chief executive of reallymoving.

As the UK housing crisis shows no signs of slowing, it’s time to look at alternative measures by which to get Britain building. One major setback for house builders is a lack of suitable land sites being identified for residential development, and it is here that Intro Crowd steps in.

We give qualified investors the opportunity to collectively fund the purchase of strategic land sites across the country via our bespoke online platform. These sites are greenfield in nature and have no prior history of development having previously been used for agricultural or leisure purposes.

Typically, these sites are a part of or next to an existing settlement that will often have a defined need for more housing in the present or near future. These sites will typically have good road access as well as access to local amenities such as shops, schools, medical care and public transportation and this makes them sustainable in nature which can be attractive for house builders.

Once fully funded via our online platform, our experienced Planning Team will take the sites through the planning process and, if successful, will aim to sell them on to a house builder for residential development.
